I’ve said this before, but I do again apologize for the years I spent as a “pro-lifer” thinking my fellow travelers actually meant that and not “vagina police.”

 

I’m still unsure if they started at these absolutist goals or gradually built up to them. I just know I’m horrified by the things I was taught and believed and where they led. There was a belief we were a tiny minority fighting a large tide of opposition. Instead, we were about 38 percent of the population being drafted into a culture war.

And, by God, we won it because we were focused and boring enough to stick to it.
