What are the odds Sinema and/or Manchin cock block it?

 

Sadly that’s the first thing I think of when the Senate gets a bill. Haven’t heard anything from those two yet.

 

The minimum wage hike is out of the Senate bill by decision of the parliamentarian, which gives cover to Manchin and Sinema. That is to my knowledge the only item in the House package to which either Sinema or Manchin has offered public opposition.

 

I wonder if the minimum wage hike being tossed out of the bill might coax a Republican or two to vote for it. Probably won’t happen, but they have a little more cover now.
