    The Fox statement is about what you'd expect.

    Further, with or without an express public apology and explanation of its lies, this will have no effect on ratings.

    That it's a lot of money, great. I suppose. Murdoch paid out twice that for the phone hacking scandal.

    And it won't change a thing at Fox News.

    You are underestimating how financially devastating this is to Fox.

    It would be one thing if it was just Rupert Murdoch being able to piss his own money away. But there are other shareholders in Fox Corporation who just saw 65 percent of what the ENTIRE business (not just Fox News) earned last year go poof. Fox's earnings were already down 44 percent last year.

    The next lawsuits are going to target the Murdochs, the rest of the management of the company, and the board of directors directly for their culpability. This isn't over.

    Understood - although I'm not super sympathetic to Fox shareholders who are only now getting angry about the consequences of Fox News practices and management.

    We still have the other lawsuits to get through, but as I said, the phone hacking scandal cost twice as much.

    We'll see.

    So Fox doesn't have to tell the faithful viewers they were willing liars. The thousands upon thousands who don't even look at another news source.

    Fuck Fox ... and fuck Dominion for letting them off the hook on THAT.
