    But as it turns out, I've been boycotting Bud Lite for the five decades of my beer-drinking life.

    Same as it ever was. Can’t win national elections on their ideas, so they win by placing roadblocks in the voting process and shrinking the electorate. Goes back to Paul Weyrich, who co-founded the Heritage Foundation and said 43 years ago, “I don't want everybody to vote. Elections are not won by a majority of people. They never have been from the beginning of our country, and they are not now. As a matter of fact, our leverage in the elections quite candidly goes up as the voting populace goes down.”
