    Interesting little spot factoid. ... Fox has lost about $690 million in market cap since the firing was announced. This has -- at least temporarily -- cost the company almost as much as the Dominion settlement.

    But. ... I just don't think he's worth nearly as much to them as Fox was to him. I think he's talelntless without Fox's audience and Donald Trump's water to carry, and people are going to forget his name pretty quickly.

    In this case the correlation does equal causation.

    The Murdochs own about 40 percent of Fox. Nobody else has even a 7 percent stake. ... and among the large shareholders, it's all passive (i.e. no activists) institutional money. The only battle in that boardroom is which Murdoch is going to grab the last danish from the dessert tray.
