    They are indicting Santos criminally for what should be a civil suit (and the way to get him out of office should have been an impeachment / voters voting him out).

    But as long as those campaign finance laws are actually on the books, that indictment is actually not the contrivance I was afraid it was going to be. If they have what they are saying, there isn't much ambiguity about him having broken the law.

    Santos was charged with one count of defrauding Congress. Was that by cashing a paycheck? If he did loot the government in four months in office, that might be a record for an indictment for that (and it shows the level of stupid we’re taking about).

    I doubt Georgia declining the invite is political - unless Kirby is the lone voice making the call. I mean, I doubt they polled the players.
