Its one thing "to have a memory lapse" early on. After others have testified and records have been produced there is far less wriggle room. It gets to be a choice of testify truthfully, risk perjury charges, or take the Fifth.

As to the housekeepers and the Secret Service, the above applies to them as well. These people become all but invisible over time, just part of the furniture. They hear and know things, and generally don't speak of them, but a grand jury is not ordinary circumstances.

When it comes to Mark Meadows cutting a deal (and he's got the best legal representation among them), he was in the middle and knows everything. There are no half measures in earning that immunity. He has to spill his guts truthfully or serve the time. There is no more damaging witness to Trump.

 

Yep, I don't see a push to get The Golden Girls taken off ... whatever channel aimed at old people it currently airs on. I mean, you can find reruns of The Match Game that were more risque than most drag shows.

 

Not to mention The Dating Game. And Newlyweds.
