Geoffery Zakarian is also a Trumper.

Feiri is Food Network, he's all over it. I'd be gobsmacked if there's blowback from corporate, unless it fucks with the revenue stream, which I don't think it will.

    Paula Deen he ain't.

Went to an event this summer where there were folks my wife and I have know for over five decades. Politics came up and it got ugly, really ugly.

Me, being me, stepped in calmed the storm. Stunner, huh?

I led a singalong of Journey songs no I didn't but I ended it.

We are going to be seeing these people three more times at least this summer, starting this coming weekend. I'm going to try and hold the line, but "Joe Biden is a fascist" again will try my patience severely.

How people came to the cult of this fucking sociopath is so strange. As has been posted here before, this guy, this fucking guy?

It might take Germany and Japan invading us in 10 years to rescue our democracy. How ironic.

    I can’t understand it either.

Reconnected with a couple of high school friends last summer when we visited Chicago to help my in-laws move out of their house.

Had kept up mostly online in the past decade or so, but as we enjoyed food and a few beers it quickly became apparent that one of them had gone full Trumper. The other guy, who is fairly apolitical, would bring up sports, rock music or “remember ____” to keep trying to change the subject.

Thing is, my former buddy and sports teammate always had political differences with me, from Iraq War I to “Gore Got More” to Illinois politics, but we always could joke or good naturedly disagree. Not anymore.

Guy Fieri is a dude with bleached, spiked hair and wrap-around sunglasses with "loudest guy at the Buffett tailgate" shirts who had a restaurant that served nachos in a garbage can with Donkey Sauce cuz he's taking you to Flavortown.

People are now shocked to learn that he's apparently a Trump guy?

(And for what it's worth, people I know who have worked with him like the guy. And if his great transgression is chatting with Trump at a UFC fight... eh, whatever.)

Fieri also does a shit-ton of charity work on behalf of kids and hospitality workers. He officiated a mass gay wedding when the ban was first lifted.

He’s never deserved the hate he gets, even though he’s a classic hipster doofus. I’m sure this is no different. I haven’t seen anything to suggest he did anything more than be polite and say hi to Trump.

But, that’s the world we live in. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My district, as you know, is among the biggest in the country. I don’t think anyone could argue that it isn’t FLUSH with money.

But it is broken. Parts of it, like special ed, have been broken for a long time. Other parts broke during COVID.

But it’s broken, and everyone knows it, including the educators and administrators themselves. Yet no one is able to fix it.

He didn't do a ton of what he said he was going to do, but he did lower my taxes. And almost everyone's. Hell, my former company brought back 401(k) matching after a nine-year hiatus because he lowered the company's taxes so much.

One of the biggest problems with the "so-and-so is the devil" arguments that no room can be allowed for anything positive to have happened.

This was part of the review:

There is visible suffering all around us in America. There are poor and unhoused, and people brutalized or killed by police. There are mass shootings, lack of healthcare, climate disasters. And yet, over and over, the far right turns to these sordid fantasies about godless monsters hurting children.

OK. But wasn’t this the plot of at least two Taken movies?
