    Absolutely not seeing that happening. The guy is leading by like 25-30 in the primary. Of course they need to get rid of him because he's not winning the general and he's bringing down everyone else down-ticket. See 2020, 2022.

    It’s absolutely not a given that trump can’t win. He got 74 fucking million votes last time. After completely botching the pandemic and sending the economy into shambles. Only a handful of states actually matter. He could win even if convicted on any of the myriad serious charges.

    It shouldn’t be that way, but it is. We are a deeply fucked up country.

    Yes. It's a third-party run by someone else (with Trump as the R nominee) that puts Trump winning the EC into big-time play.

    Say Manchin as the Lincoln Project nominee. Or Romney.

    But these are people who aren’t going to make a run that puts Trump in the White House. Romney isn’t stupid. (And everyone outside of West Virginia hates Manchin’s guts.)
