Trump has put out a couple of more Tweets today that will no doubt be discussed with the judge tomorrow. In one he attacks Mike Pence, and in the other he attacks the judge and claims he can't get a fair trial in D.C.

The judge's ruling should be interesting.

That's a great quote. Should be better known, a la John Nance Garner's "warm bucket of spit."

He also observed the 2020 POTUS election. His verdict: no fraud

Lauro is using the Sen. William "Alfalfa Bill" Murray theory, which began when he asked FDR, "what's the Constitution among friends?"

The presidential oath of office affirms to "protect, preserve and defend" the constitution, so any blatantly unconstitutional action, if not illegal under a separate statute, by definition would constitute criminal fraud against the citizens of the U.S.

How will each candidate fare vis-a-vis 2020?

The demographics greatly favor the Dems in 2024. More young voters will be eligible to vote and you have the added factor of Dobbs.

Plus, just from an actuarial perspective, you have the fact that at least 12 million Americans will have died between the elections, most of which are older Americans who lean GOP (and many of whom got caught by covid).

Combine that with down-ballot Senate and House elections and I feel pretty good. The Dems will go minus-1 with Manchin, but is that really a loss?
