You turn around and look that sumbitch in the eye and you say "Give me liberty or give me death!'

A simple "When I was President, the women WON the World Cup...just saying." would have been so much better.

NC is a head scratcher to me sometimes. Roy Cooper (D) got elected governor the same time the state went for Trump. R senators keep getting re-elected. I started seeing signs in SENC about ousting Cooper before he was ever sworn in. The again in '20, Cooper gets re-elected but the state goes for Trump again and re-elected an R senator. That's vote splitting to the extreme.

They can use the approach like they did during the Civil War. Give someone a brevet promotion. You get the title and the responsibilities, but your pay grade doesn't truly change. For example, Custer was never actually promoted to general. He was a brevet general with the true rank of colonel.

Obviously voting populations tend to get more conservative as they start paying taxes and accumulating wealth, but it will be interesting to see they dynamic of a larger older population dying off and replaced by a growing more engaged, more liberal younger voting bloc. It's not just that there will be fewer conservative voters, but at the same time more liberal voters. Trump did best among boomers and older - I think the change will be quicker than younger voters becoming conservative will be.And for the first time, 2020 marked the first election in a long time when boomers weren't the biggest voting bloc.

Not sure what your point is. Florida is experiencing net migration, but it's still losing something around 400,000 people a year.

Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina and Texas are the major destinations for Floridians leaving.

People not "fleeing" Florida. People are leaving there, but people leave every state.

My guess is that they'll actually come up with a form of that which not only gives the command authority but the pay of the rank these officers were supposed to assume. Once the Tuberville Dam is broken they'll likely also set date in rank to when the interim/brevet rank was authorized, or possibly backdate it to when their original promotion was made, before Coach blocked them.

DoD takes care of its own. That's part of what has Tuberville's nose out of joint.
