Misinformation research is buckling under GOP legal attacks

An escalating campaign, led by Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) and other Republicans, has cast a pall over programs that study political disinformation and the quality of medical information online

 

Whatever it is, if it's been being held down by routine immunizations and these knuckleheads refuse to vax their kids, there will be outbreaks. Measles, polio forex. The uptake for rabies vaccine in dogs isn’t very high as it is. I’d be surprised if it’s above 50 percent.

 

Fatfuck has repeatedly pounded the idea that the problems of the domestic auto industry (well actually pretty much all US industries) will be solved:

-- once the jobs are driven overseas to subsistence-level labor markets, unions in the US will erode
-- after jobs move to those markets, wages there will rise, meanwhile back in U.S., eroded unions will allow prevailing wages to drip to levels comparable to subsistence level economies, so voila the jobs will gravitate back to the US.

Which will work fine as long as autoworker wages in Michigan are driven down to levels comparable to sweatshop grunts in Singapore.

That's the hero of the working man.
