RTExpress: Provides Russian and Ukrainian insight AND soothsaying free of charge. What a mensch.

Good to know Biden's emergency replacement couldn't possibly win.

Harris could win, so the premise kind of falls apart. Let's not forgot the big motivating factors of abortion and keeping Trump OUT. And the myriad other unpopular social policies the trumplican minority is trying to force on the majority. Climate change and student debt come to mind.

The media and polling industry have no idea how to capture/cover the under-30 crowd that has become very politically active over the last 6-7 years.

It's moot because it'll be Biden. But just saying she can't win is silly.

For the last couple of years, all the Republican ads around here painted Nancy Pelosi as the boogyman. Now that she's no longer Speaker, it's now Joe Biden's turn. I've seen at least 3 ads for local and state elections that refer to "Joe Biden's economy" and stuff like that.

Why can't new President Harris win? If Trump can win, and he can, so could she. Unless you're positing that no black woman can ever be elected. Are you?

Would feel more confident had she made it past 2019 before dropping out of the 2020 race --- and if the INCUMBENT wasn't struggling to stay neck-and-neck with Trump.

In the current environment, no I don’t think she can win. I don’t think she could get all the way to November without an assassination attempt. In case you haven’t noticed, we are regressing badly as a country.

I don't share the assessment of Her Veepness, but thinking she can't win the White House isn't the same as thinking no Black woman can.

In your scenario - Biden doesn't make it to Election Day - she'd also be the incumbent President of the United States.

Probably good for a few votes.

And she'd benefit from the same anyone-but-Trump constituency that got us Old Joe™ Biden.
