    A group of moderate Republicans and moderate Democrats could strike a grand deal for a spending bill and speaker vote, were there any statesmen remaining.

    I was going to say, regarding the 'wealthy' and the 'rich' - what does a master electrician or master plumber earn these days?

    What does a police sergeant earn with overtime? An experienced OTR specialty trucker?

    I didn’t read the study, but does it take where you live into account? I would think urban vs. rural has an impact as well. What about life expectancy for a college educated person in a rural area, or a non-college educated person in a city?

    I'd like this a thousand times if I could.

    Especially the big land grants - but community colleges and commuter schools and the two-year associate programs and the ag and trade schools likewise. Night school. Online extension.

    Any academically qualified in-state resident should be covered for tuition and materials. They can earn room and board and health care with part-time work-study jobs on campus.

    Maybe peel a couple billion off year 27 of the F-35 maintenance program to kickstart things.
