"Lauro says 1A doesn't restrict just bc someone could be spurred to violence."

You can't yell "fire" in a crowded theater.

    NYT e-blast ...

Judge Imposes Limited Gag Order on Trump in Federal Election Case

The order restricts Donald Trump from attacking the witnesses or prosecutors, but allows him to continue disparaging the Justice Department, President Biden and other adversaries.

    ... is basically this:

Seriously, it is certainly a fundamental political opinion to state you believe the United States and in fact the world would be immeasurably better off if Fatfuck would suddenly cease existing, but if you say so out loud or in print in any media, making clear you personally have no means or ability to make it happen, you instantly get in all sorts of trouble.

    She's baited a perfect trap.

It's only a limited gag order, but he'll still find the temptation to insult the court overwhelming.

    He'll fuck it up.

Presumably a contempt citation, which can carry a range of different penalties.

What Is a Gag Order and How Is One Enforced?

Judges can also treat contempt as a civil or a criminal matter depending in part on whether their focus is more to coerce future compliance or to punish past disobedience.
Depending on the factors, judges can sometimes summarily impose a fine of up to $1,000 and a sentence of up to six months in prison. But in other cases, they must seek the appointment of a prosecutor and a jury trial would follow.

One of the penalties is summary imprisonment at the judge's discretion.

She can just lock him up as she would any disruptive defendant.
