If they lead or incite or encourage an insurrection, then that's OK.

Well, everyone's guilty of playing that card. We don't brag about "bringing a republic" to whatever government we're toppling.

And The Washington Post isn't claiming "A republic dies in darkness."

We're a republic, which counts on democratically held elections to function.

Actually, since WW2, we are a national security state. Everything else is window dressing.

Now, where did I put my tinfoil hat?

LBJ wasn’t on the ballot in Alabama in 64. A few other Southern states left him off as well. Same thing happened to Truman in 48, which is why it was such a shock that he won anyway.

Considering the bogus Biden impeachment probe, that is possible.

Picture yourself at the Capitol in January
With smoke bombs and lots of camo guys
Somebody calls you, you answer quite slowly
A masked man with a fistful of zip ties

Racist flags of white and red
    Towering over your head
Look for the cop with the bear mace in his eyes
    And he's gone

Donnie is the guy with fascists
Donnie is the guy with fascists
Donnie is the guy with fascists
    Ah

Picture yourself at a rally in a hockey arena
With bloated rednecks with Confederate flags
Suddenly someone is there at the podium
The man with crazy devil eyes

Donnie is the guy with fascists
Donnie is the guy with fascists
Donnie is the guy with fascists
    ah
Donnie is the guy with fascists
Donnie is the guy with fascists
Donnie is the guy with fascists

Interview with former WH lawyer Ty Cobb (I know) is of the opinion that Trump is not an officer of the United States.

"The Colorado Supreme Court ruled the office of the president falls under the insurrection clause, which states those who previously took oaths to support the Constitution as a “member of Congress,” “officer of the United States,” “member of any State legislature” or an “executive or judicial officer of any State” cannot engage in a rebellion against it.

“The real key issue in this case is — is Trump an officer in the United States in the context in which that term is used in the Article 3 of the 14th Amendment,” Cobb said. “And in 2010, Chief Justice [John] Roberts explained in free enterprise that people don’t vote for officers of the United States.”

Cobb went on to reference multiple Supreme Court decisions that do not conclude officers include the president or vice president in this context. "

Judge Howell ordered Perry to turn over 2,055 documents. The appeals court judge examined them and ruled that 1,659 were not protected.

I look forward to seeing what's in there. Pressure on Pence, Jan. 6 communications, election fraud, all sorts of possibilities.
