Christie ending his campaign is getting housed by Saban retiring. Fitting that he's overshadowed even at the end.

 

Rather phenomenal speech Christie is giving right now as he bows out.

 

That was the point. The judge said he could speak as long as he confined himself to the facts of the case, the evidence, etc. He was forbidden to talk about the 2020 election, election fraud, any court or prosecutor's employee, or to campaign. He was given until noon today to agree. Deadline passed without any such agreement, so he got locked out.

I find it hard to believe that it was anything but a stunt anyhow - he would have backed away.

 

Or 3) both of the above.

Christie has a gift for rhetoric and connecting with people, but no one knows who they're connecting with. Is it the guy who trashed Obama at every turn or the one who expressed deep thanks for federal aid after Sandy? Is it the guy who is appalled by Trump and all he stands for or the guy who voted for and supported him twice and punitively welded his power as Governor of NJ? Much like us Americans in Chrchill's apocryphal quote, Chris Christie can always be trusted to do the right thing once all other possibilities have been exhausted.

 

Has it occured to anyone that he might want to work on his tan?
