Or when they said or did anything that contradicted Trump, displeased him, or he threw them under the bus.

That's pretty damn close to saying "Hitler made the trains run on time."

Go fuck yourself, Jamie. He tried to overthrow the government.

Our discourse — and by extension, our society — elevates mediocrity and rewards idiocy. When the guiding philosophies are “maximize shareholder value” and “be louder,” 2024 America is what you get.

This bit from the post above from "The Civil Liberal" (I know nothing about), strikes a note with me:

"Would Dimon ever tell Trump and his supporters to have any respect for Democrats? Any respect for the biggest cities in the country that are constantly demonized by that base? What gall to suggest it’s Dems who have to be more polite instead of the vulgar Trump and his base."

For fuck's sake. If someone, at this stage, is STILL with trump, we don't need think pieces or deep dives on "understanding" them.

We know who they are. And that's the problem. Until the unlikely event they snap back into reality.

What Dimon is saying is he's behind Trump and he's behind dictatorship as long as his personal fortune and (a poor second) his company are not harmed in any way. A natural collaborator, not that any reporter who could get access to him could say that to his face. Perhaps Biden should just say it. The main reason Democrats fret is they believe their side never hits back. Here's an unpopular target who could use a good rhetorical punch in the snoot.

Dimon continually and repeatedly offers himself up as the example that proves that CEOs are, as a lot, not any smarter than the rest of us.

He's good at banking. I am good at writing coherent English prose on sports on tight deadlines. That doesn't make either of us smart.
