    He was born in Jacksonville and raised in Dunedin. His parents may have been Northerners (which is why he doesn't sound like my Jacksonville relatives) but how is he not really from Florida?

    In a way, this is the genius of Trump. You can’t really defend naming these bases after traitors. But comes up with these ridiculous arguments and is such a snake oil salesman that he’s willing to passionately defend them.

    Elise Stefanik blatantly lying to suck up to trump for the VP should be mortifying and disqualifying for people with any shame. So it’s a-ok with her.

    Today’s whoppers: mentally deficient trump MEANT to mix up Haley and Pelosi. And delaying the Carroll defamation trial for a sick juror is ELECTION INTERFERENCE.

    I’ll never get used to the clear, provable lies that are willingly lapped up as fact.

    And that soul-selling, brain-dead idiot could be one Filet o’ Fish lodged in trump’s throat from the presidency.

    Don't forget. ... The whole renaming bases thing was a product of the George Floyd protests. Congress -- on a bipartisan basis -- put the provision to rename those basis into a defense budget appropriations bill -- which passed overwhelmingly. Trump vetoed the act BECAUSE of the renaming of bases. And Congress overrode his veto -- the only time they did, I believe. There is no principle behind any of this. It's that he was trying one of his racist populist dog whistles, Congress didn't go along with it, and it is the ONE veto of his that they overrode. He'll never let that go.
