This is the date that Speaker Johnson chose when he issued the invitation quite awhile ago.

 

I too voted the Republican ballot here in Fairfax County.

 

There was virtually nothing on my Democratic ballot here. President and one constitutional amendment. But if nobody ever votes Democrat here, then nobody ever runs as one and the doom loop continues. So I threw my meaningless pebble into the ocean.

 

Not just pundits, mate. Viewers too.

 

There's probably some asshole, own-the-libs reason behind the late date.

 

It may have been uncertainty on Johnson's part that there wouldn't be a government shutdown in January or February.

 

Or, despite the look she cultivated, she wasn’t up for the three-way race … wasn’t about to get the robes and lotions, the new bedspread and curtains and thick carpeting and weirdo lighting.

 

Cleveland State is shocked it didn’t receive any sanctions.

 

I get that, why SOTU is THIS Thursday, with the primaries, but why not last week? Next week? Just seems odd.
