Amazing to think I grew up with a GOP that pushed "family values" and now they are all in on Trump. I get the sense we are like the frog in the slowly warming pot of water with the guy. And the journos covering him are the worst.

Interesting - I see the same kind of thing happening in Portland. 1) the cost of living there is pushing out marginalized communities in favor of those working in tech, 2) the tolerance for homelessness and drug use in public has reached its limit and the progressive "solutions" have not worked. 3) Progressives are so used to railing against "the establishment," when it comes time to govern and keep coalitions together, they end up reverting to their essential being and would rather not lose their "progressive" card than actually find a solution to problems.

Also add that Barbara Lee - probably the most progressive person in Congress, is done after running for the Senate and not making the general in the fall. Then again, she's 77!
