So let me see if I have this straight ... the prosecutors said in court Monday that Allen Weisselberg met with Michael Cohen to discuss the details of the reimbursement of the payoff to Stormy Daniels, that they agreed to double the payment to cover taxes because they were going to disguise it as income ... and that they have exact details of the conversation because Weisselberg wrote it all down.

This will be the first quote of The Wire in this trial (but probably not the last): "Is you takin' notes on a criminal fuckin' conspiracy?!"

Katie Phang's live tweet thread of the trial brought out how much David Pecker's testimony hurts Trump. Pecker says Cohen invited him to the meeting at Trump Tower, and when he asked how he could help Trump they asked him to keep an eye out for problematic stories and inform them. The Enquirer not only played catch and kill on Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal, it also publicized stories of alleged affairs by Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio. He talked about the catch and kill of the story from Trump's doorman. Phang's tweet string is worth a look.
