The dog was 18 months old. Plenty of time to correct that behavior. If you’re a decent dog handler and have time, which her political career limited. Even so, at 18 months that dog could have been kept as a house dog or rehomed as a pet.

I guess if we’re talking about Kristi Noem’s dog, we’re not talking about the Supreme Court giving consideration to the idea that the president cannot commit a crime. The GOP still plays the distraction game very well.

 

I would estimate that the number of American voters who like/love dogs is larger than the number of those who care about constitutional law (not who say they do, who really do) by a factor of at least half a million and likely more. If this was a planned distraction, it's about the worst in political history. Americans have tossed charges of wannabe tyranny back and forth since Adams vs. Jefferson. Getting branded the party of puppy killers is a new one.

 

The nuttiest thing about Noem’s dog story is she didn’t just tell it off the cuff in an interview or something. It had to go through multiple levels of people, any one of whom should have said “uhhhh.”

 

It's all part of the narcissistic mindset: I can do whatever I want and nobody can do shit about it.

Much the same way Fatfuck went to numerous mass media talk shows to repeatedly express his urges to fuck his daughter -- in some cases egging the conversation along even after the interviewer clearly wanted to drop it.

 

Exactly. Almost every dog I have owned in adulthood has been a re-homed hunting dog. I don't hunt. They've all been great pets.

 

Trump's handlers must be telling him to ditch Noem.

Puppy killers will kill any remaining chances Trump has.

 

He can put her on the ticket, and he's still going to be right there in November.

Thinking otherwise is pure folly. We've fallen into believing what we WANT to happen is exactly what WILL happen.
