No one's protesting his trial. It'll make no difference.

 

It's what he thinks he wants. He's never had to deal with consequences. Jail for a couple days would break him in ways he can't imagine.

 

You'd have to confiscate any cameras from anyone visiting him. The picture of him behind bars would be printed on shirts and mugs and would net him millions in a week.

 

Apparently, seeing a doctor is too expensive even for Walmart. Lol.

But something worse happened to Trump today. The judge is going to let him attend his son's high school graduation. Now he has to be there, right?

 

At the start of the trial the NYT had an interesting sidebar about what happens if Trump is jailed - either on the contempt charges or at the end of the trial. Basically, should it happen, Trump is not going to Riker's Island and he will have a full, and fully armed, Secret Service detail in the jail or prison with him. They were looking at a currently out-of-use wing of an old prison - or something comparable - as the likely site.

It's stuff which will play badly in that case, when it finally gets to court next February or whenever. It's not like I said "This is the end for Trump, he's cooked." OTOH, you've got Nauta busted for lying about knowing about the boxes and knowing what was inside them, and you have MaL insider testimony that Trump handled the documents with contempt. More insiders saying that there was no talk of or system for declassifiication of any documents.

It's evidence against him. Another brick in the wall.
