I would not be surprised if Dolly has declined it because she does not want to step into the political shitstorm that would follow.

I don’t think Willie GAF, but he’s also got all the baggage that some people associate with Willie Nelson (“he smokes that smelly pot!”).

 

Biden should work a deal with Johnson - as part of the deal to save his Speakership. Biden gives Dolly the PMOF, Congress gives her a gold medal (same ceremony, hosted by Biden and Johnson - the country comes together and we live in peace and harmony at long last.

 

Dolly is the closest thing we have to the British model of separating government from royalty.
