This is funny but there's more than a kernel of truth to it. Eight years ago, Trump was appealing to people who liked politics as sport b/c he was a wrestling heel come to life. He said awful, awful things, but if you didn't take this too seriously, he was funny and original. He had nicknames for everyone. He got the last word in on everyone. As awful as he was, he also built a legitimate (to people who don't pay attention) case as the outsider qualified to shake up the system. His bandwagon was a fun one on which to climb. In such a close race, that was probably enough to lift him past Hillary.

Now? Not only is there nothing funny about his vileness, but he's no longer the guy making fun of everyone. He's the constant fucking whiner crying about how everyone is against him. As anyone who was paying attention in the '80s already knew, he's the classic bully who can't handle even the mildest of pushback. Any message he has is no longer delivered w/any sort of amusement. He's old, senile and probably wracked by the case of COVID that would have killed anyone else who wasn't President of the United States at the time. And he had four years to shake shit up. You can't run on wanting to shake shit up when you already had four years to do so (and did shake shit up by killing a million-plus people with his murderous ineptitude). Anyone voting for entertainment/riding the bandwagon factor will probably sit this one out, which is hopefully good news for Biden.

 

I’m sure his klan will be more than happy to take Amurrikkka back to the days of segregation.
