If we elect Trump because of this debate, and because we value style over substance, the flashy lie over the fumbling truth…then we deserve whatever calamities befall us.

That's it, right there. I refuse to worry about this election because it's so cosmically out of my hands. If people vote for someone they KNOW is a complete shit, then so are they, and too bad for those aren't but they're gonna get fucked too.

 

Hope the cut man gets Biden a throat lozenge. Because other than the raspy, weak voice, he's winning this one on points.

And he needs to keep throwing haymakers.

It guess it has been a while since I've seen Biden up close. Yeah, he does not look good.

Nevertheless, I'm watching, and what I'm doing, in hopes of putting the debate in a better light, and trying to keep myself from getting depressed, too, is keeping track of specifics, statistics, and actual direct answers to the questions. Doing that, Biden wins the debate easily.

I'm also keeping track of how often Trump just sounds like a kid arguing his "side" with his parents in a fight against a sibling.

And this debate has got to be a record for candidates' name-calling, and lobbing real, personal insults. It's like an argument across the dinner table in a dysfunctional family instead of a debate that may determine the next President of the U.S.

Trump cannot be allowed to win, and I hope enough people will see through him and his ridiculous, unspecific, factually unsupported and nefarious debate "style" when push comes to shove. God, I hope for that.
