President Biden: The NEW one and only politics thread

Right now, I don't want to live to be 53, never mind 80.

 

I'm saying people will check out over the summer. It always happens. There's time for the Dems to change course and figure out some sort of way out of this mess. No one was winning the election on June 27. It's just not how people are wired.

 

There's really only one solution to this election and it has nothing to do with Biden.

 

Jamie Harrison is a caretaker - he has ZERO power. He can't make anything happen. Now Pelosi? Jeffries? Schumer? Major donors? Absolutely. Honestly, Biden could come out of this smelling like a rose - it will be framed as a selfless decision for the good of the country. And he's done enough public service. He deserves a rest.

 

But might this be like Thursday at the US Open in most years? You can’t win it on Thursday (in most years), but you can lose it.

 

We'll see. I'm curious to see the ratings from last night and to see how many people actually watched.

 

Especially compared to the number of people who said they were going to watch.
