The Mississippi Governor involved in the scandal regarding $70 million in welfare funds being diverted to Southern Miss volleyball among other things is suing the reporter and the newspaper. He wants sources and internal emails, and the reporter and editor say they'll go to jail first.

I wouldn't want to be trusting the current Supreme Court with my case.

This borders on freedom fries palpitations. Maybe the great historian should take off the 4th.

 

NYT: “President Biden. Why won’t you sit down with us for a one-on-one interview like every other president has?”

Biden; “You just ran a shitty opinion piece from a guy saying he doesn’t vote when it was discovered that he’s voted multiple times in recent years. If you can’t even bother to verify a simple fact like that, why should I waste my time with a bunch of gossip hounds who are full of malarkey. Fuck off.”

 

Another reminder that anybody whining about libruhl media, elites, metros, etc and alleged bias therein should get up to speed. If power and ownership are aligned with your boy and your klan — and they are — the Libruhl media is dead as a concept.

So I'm guessing the polling on Biden will be continuous. I really don't see him making a dent in the situation - nothing short of seeing him dunk a basketball, appear on - and win - a game of Jeopardy would do it for me. I also think he's ticked off a lot of the Dem leadership by strongarming them into "standing by him" without giving them much evidence that he's in good shape for the campaign, let alone another four years. "I need more sleep" is not really a rallying cry.
