That said, there has been another underlying thought. Trump's campaign is notorious for not paying vendors. It's notoriously unorganized, too.

The Secret Service provides X amount of personnel and resources to former presidents and to major presidential candidates. Those resources are then augmented by local law enforcement personnel.

The Secret Service is still on charge of leading security. Buck stops with them. But it would not surprise me if it turns out a lack of organization/funds from the Trump campaign at least partially contributed to the poor security standards on display.

 

I don't think it was a hoax. I wouldn't be shocked if Trump or one of his minions had a role in this happening.

The ap scenario about the local cop taking his focus away and then him rushing to shoot at Trump makes the sniper reaction where he lifts his head make sense.

I don’t think they knew in advance and as soon as he saw the shot he took out Crooks immediately.

 

I know Trump got his picture.

But, I also know yesterday afternoon was probably the best example for gun control we have had in a while.
