President Biden: The NEW one and only politics thread

If that comes up (it probably won't), she can slide the blame over to Biden. This is a fresh start for the Democratic Party, while Uncle Joe becomes the lame duck who can't run anymore -- with all the advantages that extends.

 

Normally, a defeated POTUS candidate (especially an incumbent one) disappears after Jan. 20. That tragically didn't happen with Trump.

And that fact of his continual hogging of the spotlight with his deranged acts and legal liabilities really took the attention away from Biden's accomplishment.

He would have gotten more credit without psycho Trump out there. Seriously, what other president ever got upstaged, even once by the guy they defeated? Carter? Reagan? Clinton?

 

While a total landslide with the overall black vote would certainly turn the tables in Harris' direction, it's never going to be as dramatic as that. It's going to skew a little too much toward the middle.

 

This is what the Dems needed more than anything, energy.

I said this in 2020 VPOTUS Harris is a smart strong woman who was trained by one of the smartest mfers around, Willie Brown. She was too careful in 2020 and got no traction.

This time she is going to go after fatf*ck like there’s no tomorrow and it’s going to be short and concise. And most importantly, unlike Joe, in the prosecutor voice. Go Kamala!!

 

The overall black turnout is what changed Wisc, Mich in 2020.

 

This is also why I think that Romney thing is folly. Romney to lead the Dems? Why couldn't he lead the GOP? Why did he and the other so-called adults in the room do little to nothing to stop Trump after 1/6? Sure, Romney spoke out, but how could he and Cheney and others not take the reins of their party? They couldn't, and they were basically defeated by MAGA. So the Dems should go into NHL recycled-coach mode and try someone who couldn't get it done elsewhere (and someone they defeated rather handily before)?

 

The GQP will try and bait KH into public catfights with other women.

Harris took part in a 22-car* demolition derby for the Democratic primary last time around, which means by definition there were going to be 21 losing candidates. There’s nothing wrong with figuring out relatively early in the process that there isn’t a viable path to victory for this cycle and not wasting time, effort and money. Does anybody think Andrew Yang or Tom Steyer were better politicians because they kept campaigning after she dropped out?

Can we stop giving air to what one screenwriter suggested? It was never going to happen in a million years. Might as well give equal time to my presidential campaign.
