I think the Democrats should ride the “weird” theme like it is Seattle Slew, but I would feel better if elected officials dropped the couch bit. It’s funny, but politicians saying it could lead to some knock-on effects we’d all really be better off avoiding.

I could better roll with the joke if such laffs were acceptable when aimed at any candidate, left or right.

But they're not. You can only punch right. Otherwise, democracy ends.

The last guy ... the guy who's running to be in office again ... was told, "sir if you do this [get Mike Pence to throw out electoral votes], there will be riots in the streets of every single American city," and still tried to do it.

When we say, "threat to Democracy," you should take us seriously and literally.

What is hard won about Vance's bitterness?

If he is still bitter about growing up in Appalachia after going to Yale and working in Silicon Valley, he'll never be happy.

He didn't grow up in Appalachia, he grew up in an exurb of Cincinnati.

Trump doesn’t want to be associated with his running mate. He also fears the crowds — the only reason he is in politics in the first place— will be down.

That’s kind of the way it works when one party aligns to try and overthrow the government and the other doesn’t.

I mean, I think you're right. He does not strike me as a happy guy. He's a reminder that you don't let conservative media pick VP candidates. Bill Kristol wanted Sarah Palin. Tucker Carlson wanted this guy.
