Speaking of sports, the Thomas & Mack Center hasn’t looked like this since Tark was chomping on a towel.

 

Things have changed since 2016 and 2020. The mainstream media, perpetually reviled by The Right, have gotten a taste of life with Trump. They liked it. And they are desperate to get it back.

I think they had issues getting people in the doors. The local authorities announced there were several thousand in line when they shut down entry because those waiting were wilting in the heat. Or something like that.

 

Who fucking cares? Who the fuck is Kellyanne Conway? Inflatable tits and MTG's mouth. In other words, she's WEIRD.

All the Dems need to do if she gets into an official role in the campaign is livestream tweets from George and Claudia.

 

Such a long way to go. Every day seems like 12 news cycles. Lots of things to be positive about with Harris/Walz right now. But there are gonna be rough days ahead too.

Not sure what the trump “break” is. Other than they need to completely change things and he needs a rest because he’s too old and in decline mentally and physically.

The enthusiasm for Harris is great to see. She was my initial choice in 2020. Now it seems pretty politically savvy that she bowed out quickly when she saw no path. Didn’t lose any primaries and didn’t get beat up. Not that she or anyone knew then how it was going to play out with the party falling in line behind Biden so quickly. Combo of good political instincts and luck.

With her record as a “cop” it could’ve been a tough to survive a democratic primary in any year. Might be a case of a candidate who’s way better in a general election than a primary. Especially against the despised trump.

I really do think the majority of the country is eager to move on from the last five years. It’s been a slog. It’s been nasty. And that means moving on from trump. His act is stale, his policies aren’t popular and he’s just a fucking asshole.

Hopefully it’s a great Dem convention and a nice bump. Then buckle up for a two-month meat grinder.

 

The reports are they got to 12,000 before shutting it down. High was 110 today and the tightened security had it slow going.
