Anybody around college football in Georgia in the '70s and '80s (or who went to Georgia Southern like myself) might understand this: after getting to learn more and more about Jeff Walz, I get serious Erk Russell vibes.

Erk, with his humility and homespun nature, had generations of players at UGA and GS who would ram a brick wall for him. That's what I feel here.

 

Oh hell, when his son rose to his feet and yelled "THAT's my Dad!" Got a little dusty..

 

And then there's ... JD Vance.
