This is a good point. It's incredible how much phones, apps and all technology have taken over everything.

I only work at Walmart, but everything -- literally everything -- I do on a daily basis is done on a phone or some other hand-held tech gadget, or a computer.

I recently interviewed for another position that would be a promotion within the store. It was done with the market-level HR person and the store manager. The three of us were in three different offices in the building, within less than 50 yards of each other, IN THE SAME HALLWAY. And I had to do a Zoom interview.

I thought it was ridiculous.

But they wanted to know that I knew how to set up and do a Zoom interview. It's the only conceivable reason for doing it that way.
