Don't forget that an M-16/AR-15 is designed to be maximally accurate even when used by people who scored in the 20s and 30s on the ASVAB. A 130-yard shot (or eight shots, as Crooks apparently fired) by someone familiar with the weapon isn't particularly difficult. I think Crooks missed because of the pressure, not because of the accoutrements that he didn't have - but if he did have them, he likely wouldn't have missed.

 

The governor of Pennsylvania is Democratic. The Attorney General of Pennsylvania is Democratic.

One person is dead along with the shooter in the apparent assassination attempt. What kind of forensic investigation is going on to determine what really happened, who planned it, and why?

The answers might be extremely interesting, if not surprising.
