    Harding was a candidate in 1920, but a distant also-ran until the divided party started looking for a compromise candidate. His rise parallels Obama's fairly closely.

    I have a ton of respect for her and the hard work she's done to build her brand into an empire, but there's nothing "bootstraps" about growing up wealthy and having a family willing and able to fund her endeavors.

    She's obviously taken the advantages she was given and run with them - in a far more impressive way than Trump who was handed his fortune entirely - but that ain't bootstrapping.
