The trump margins in the primaries are interesting. Even after Haley dropped out, even in closed primaries, there were 15-20% voting for someone else.

Most of them are still likely to vote for trump. But if he even loses 3-4% across the board, he’s fucked. And there’s been nothing to indicate his ceiling is higher than 47%. That’s likely as much as he’ll get.

The Electoral College is all that matters of course. But there are some indicators he’s losing support. Despite the horse race polls.

As much as I think polling is broken, the Des Moines Register has been a gold standard in the industry. In that one, trump has gone from leading Biden by 18, to now leading Harris by 4.

In an Arkansas poll, trump leads Harris by 15. He won the state by 30+ in 2020.

Of course, trump will win Iowa and Arkansas. But shifts that large, if accurate, will also show up in the swing states. Not as dramatic, but enough for Harris to win.

In a way, Springfield is worse than the Capitol. Trump and Vance are putting innocent lives at risk with their lies and innuendo, which is much more dangerous than getting his demented followers to riot against the police and storm the gates on 1/6.

And they don't care if anybody gets killed. This is a candidate for the highest office in the land, openly lying about immigration and racism, in order to try and gain votes.

That's sick. It's well past weird now. He's full-on baiting white supremacists and the KKK into a Tulsa massacre situation and nobody in his party is willing to pull the plug.

 

But not nearly as bad as the FBI searching MAL after Herr Trump stole all those top secret docs.
