Most of the exporn people I’ve met are far more honest than the typical Republican.

you would think that even GOP voters have other things to do with their lives besides spend an hour or more waiting in line to vote - I realize the theory that making it harder to vote helps Republicans, but my goodness people have become so accustomed to being catered to, not even having to go out to get fast-food anymore, that vote by mail will eventually begin to spread.

Maybe it's one of those things where people have always voted in person and just continue to do so or perhaps in some communities they want to be seen voting by friends and neighbors or even vote as a group, much like going to breakfast together. Maybe they think their vote counts more if done in person than an anonymous envelope. Who knows? I'm sure it will become more standard.

We have all three forms of voting here in Mass. Most folks do mail. I do early voting because I know some of the poll workers. Alice almost always votes on Election Day. Dealer's choice.

We SHOULD eventually have online voting. But the trumplicans will never let that happen. Too easy for the "wrong" people to vote. And those conspiracy theories will make the recent stuff look quaint.

I have traditionally voted in person on POTUS election days just because I figure it's game day. It's part of the fun.
In 2020, I voted early because of COVID. I will do it this year just because I liked the 2020 result and am superstitious.

I like voting in person so I get those "I VOTED" stickers that I use to adorn my one-hitter box.

She's a dedicated voter. I have no doubt she will make it back. Maybe even later today. Our county's Board of Elections and the IT team have added a map displaying real-time wait times at the various early voting sites. I sent it to her earlier pointing out some of the ones that only had a 15 minute wait instead of the 90 minutes that were showing at the library she usually goes to.

I like to vote on Election Day, personally. I know most of the poll workers in my precinct. They're my neighbors! And with the prevelance of early voting, it's usually easy to get in and out on Election Day.

But I have found myself doing early voting the last few years just in case something comes up.
