Whether Trump wins or loses at this point, but much faster if he wins, I think you are about to see a bunch of church buildings get the Spirit Halloween treatment.

There will be as always scattered authoritarian congregations that will do well at attracting those whose worship of Jesus manifests itself as a need to violently suppress what they see as sexual deviance (and abortion falls under this if you dig for a while). But a whole lot of others that have only flirted with this merger of heavenly worship and earthly dominion will be hollowed out as many are repulsed by what they have enabled and the most bought in gravitate to those churches where the anger is unvarnished.

And many mainline churches, already gravely weakened from having been through the undercard of America’s religious fights the last half-century, will collapse for good via guilt by association.

Ironically enough, all of this winds up being a potential boon for real estate developers looking for bargains to redevelop. And thus the circle closes.

I posted this last november and still believe abortion is the issue that is going to bring a Harris victory. There is no way women and the men who love them are going to agree to be second class citizens.

Yeah, but Larry Kudlow says Trump will win, and he's wrong about literally everything.

Also, geese migrate. Even park and golf course geese move around.

It would be great if they just started calling him a fucking idiot whenever he spouts the lunacy.

    "What about the geese?!?!?"

Well, they migrate. You're so fucking stupid you didn't think of that?

Take out the Buffalo Commons states, and she wins by 5 million. Californians are Americans too.

In 2016 America voted against Trump but the electoral college, a relic from slavery, saved him. In 2020 America overwhelmingly voted against Trump, and the electoral college couldn't save him, even though it almost did.

Harris is going to win the popular vote again, but Trump clearly has a chance to be the third president in this century elected with a minority of votes. That's just wrong. Clearly it's time for a change, and time to make the "one-man, one-vote" principle that applies to every other election also applies to the presidential election.

The Senate ably protects the small states from the supposed "tyranny" of the larger states.

It's bad for the country that 5-6 states always determine who is president for all 50 states. They are the only states either party even campaigns in anymore.

It is sad only a handful of states really matter but the Electoral College is not going away in my lifetime and probably not in my children's lifetime.
Congress can't even pass having daylight savings year round in a few states, how are they going to change the Electoral College?

There is probably a better chance at making weed legal nationally and certainly a better chance of making abortion illegal nationwide.
