I have seen those, too, but she hasn't done a good enough job of selling the accomplishments of the last couple of years. She is getting tagged with every negative thing about the Biden administration anyway, but she doesn't seem to embrace the positive enough.

Oh FFS the Harris campaign hits hard on its economic plan in every speech and every commercial. It’s prima facia evidence the MSM craves a Trump win, what with the way they ignore her solid messaging and economic plan.

Because she is very wisely not running as an incumbent.

That poll means nothing with that margin of error, which is way too high.

He needs to get over his “woke mind virus” bullshit. Last night was the first time I’d watched that show in years and I saw I missed not much, especially when he said he’s had Ben Shaipiro on.

Also problematic: The pollster is not named.

She can't sell the macro accomplishments because people aren't seeing them directly translate to micro successes - lower prices, cheaper rent/mortgages, more money in their bank accounts, etc.

She's in a very difficult position with the economy. The administration handled inflation the best it could coming out of the pandemic. It's made big strides with student loans, prescriptions, and Medicare to lower some costs. Unemployment is low and jobs are readily available in some industries.

But the rest of the economy is lagging behind. So if she tries to celebrate the big picture stuff, she looks out of touch for the families still struggling. As someone still feeling the pinch of the economy, I'm glad she's taking her current approach, because it feels more self-aware.

It really is a tough needle to thread. All of this is. On the Fourth of July she wasn't even the candidate, and now she has a real chance to win.

If she loses, there will be the inevitable second-guessing. That's what happens. But with three days to go, it's been incredibly well-run campaign by just about any analysis/metric under these unusual circumstances. There hasn't been a major stumble. Very few minor ones.

It would be nice for the Dems to get (keep in this case) an economy on the upswing, rather than cleaning up the smoldering ruins left behind by the latest republican disaster.

And it would also be nice for Biden to get the credit he deserves for the really good job he's done. No recession when it was predicted by nearly every economist. Soft landing. Historic low unemployment. Record stock market. He had a meat and potatoes administration, getting infrastructure done.

If Harris loses, all that gets buried under an ocean of bullshit.

If I could go back in time and make a campaign wish, I’d like to have seen Harris and Walz do commercials together. I get why you don’t want him on solo spots because it upstages her. But he’s such an effective communicator and it’s a shame they didn’t take better advantage.
