Nate Platinum says the polls have Harris ahead in Wisconsin. Yet he can’t bring himself to quit his boy Trump, still listed with a 52% chance to win the state. Working for Peter Thiel will do wonders to your logic.

No kidding. I just cannot get over this quote, and how Trump could still even be eligible to be running for President.

I think it is Pennsylvania or bust for both sides. Harris might lose Michigan or Wisconsin, but if either of those flip the Keystone State is a goner anyway.

Wise to get tagged with every problem but get credit for none of the success.

But why and how is Trump leading at all? I truly don't understand this.

His campaign site has him in Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Georgia (Macon) on Sunday.

Trump is leading because there are people -- MAGA and not MAGA -- who believe he will put more money in their wallets.

There is no indication this is true, but it's what is moving the needle for quite a few people on the fence.

And considerably fewer people care about his lack of civility than we would like.

That's almost word-for-word what the neighbor told me last week. His wife owns a multi-million dollar company that might have to pay taxes under Harris but may get huge kickbacks from Trump. Too bad if Trump's a reeking pile of shit. But "his policies."

They're solely concerned about themselves and how much money they have accumulated.

I think oop's point, and Bill Maher's, too, though, is that people really don't know, or at least don't think, things like inflation, the jobs picture, gas prices, etc. actually have been trending in better, more positive directions for some time now. I know some people have been saying it and bringing it, and trying to correct the opposite perception, but the message hasn't come across loudly or clearly enough, or specifically enough. And I agree completely.

It is why Trump is still opening his rallies with that question/theme he keeps using, that too many people keep answering inaccurately: "Are you better off than you were four years ago?"

The idea that Trump is for the rich and Harris is for regular people/everybody is a good general short message. But it doesn't address the fact that Biden/Harris and her party have already actually done some good -- good that people have not realized or heard enough.

What policies will this bring about?
