That isn't the only reason, but yeah, people being stupid enough to think he is going to make things better for them financially is a problem.

I’m not holed up alone in an apartment all day praying not to get a deadly virus for which there is not yet an effective treatment or an available vaccine. So yes, I am better off.

She stepped into a very difficult situation and is in much better shape than I thought she would be when Biden stepped down. She has done a lot right, including kicking Trump's ass in their one debate. I think she has tried a little too hard to distance herself from Biden, but overall, she has run a much better and more disciplined campaign than Trump. As you said, it sucks that Biden isn't getting the credit he deserves, credit that would end up going to Harris, too.

Polling shows that Harris has significantly shrunk the advantage Trump had over her on "the economy" in the past couple months.

I’ve had this conversation with a coworker. He’s a mid 30s Mexican American with three young kids.
I tell him that Trump hates his people and would want to deport him and his family and he says Trump is better for the economy.
He’s making $65k annually and earning toward a government pension, so his taxes won’t change, yet he’s voting against his best interest and that of his children thinking things will be better.

It’s hard to convince people that the economy is improving when cereal still costs $6.72/box. But most people basing their vote on the economy are just using it as an excuse to cover for their bigotry.

    Something everyone can agree on:

At least this will be the last weekend when every ad during every ballgame is a fucking political ad. I certainly don't live in a swing state, so maybe I'm just not to used to it. But fuuuuuuuucccckkkkk. Enough already.

Under Trump, the price of cereal will probably fall because the U.S. won’t be able to sell grain abroad because of fees and embargoes in reaction to his tariffs, so there will be an excess of wheat and corn because most grain planting and harvest is mechanized and won’t rely on all those deported farm laborers. Hope folks like cereal. Prices on everything else will be sky high.

An ad on the Cocktail Party just now showed a gas pump display speeding by while saying Kamala Harris wants “more inflation.” But the display showed roughly 15 gallons for around $10. Give me some of that inflation baby!
