We lived through this in the early grades during the late '60s. And were then expected to adapt to the normal alphabet in a week when we reached fourth grade.

Thank goodness I never saw that in the 60s. The only strange-looking letter I remember was the "schwa" (ə).

Any Latino who voted for a Trump is by definition a citizen. Thus, no deportation.

I'm afraid Democrats waiting for the karma of Trump-voting naturalized citizens being deported is every bit the unicorn the imaginary "uprise of the Roe voter" was

Somewhere inside AOC is one hell of a presidential candidate. But she attached herself to a green revolution that's more hat than cattle.

Measures repealing draconian abortion restrictions have been approved in almost every state that has held a referendum, red or blue. The voting was 57-43 in favor of change in Florida but was not "approved" because of a ridiculous state law requiring an unreasonable 60% to change the state constitution, so the tyranny of the minority prevailed.

The "uprise of the Roe Voter" was not imaginary at all. There were just many who voted in favor of removing abortion restrictions who unbelievably also voted for the man who set the passage of those restrictions in motion.

Which is 100% what was NOT supposed to happen. That "more than 50% of voters are pro-choice" is not news.

And while it's temping to decry the "tyranny of the minority" when it doesn't go your way, the laws are written that way so that we don't have a completely new set of laws every four years.

Or maybe we'd like THIS incoming Congress deciding on whether to repeal the 22nd Amendment? Needing only 51 votes, of course.
