Social media checks to make sure they sufficiently praised Trump and pwned the libs, good.

 

That’s just as bad as several newspapers I applied to and/or worked at, which would ask for references but were too lazy or “didn’t have time” to check them. We ended up with some real gems that way.

Of course, we weren’t entrusting those yahoos with national security secrets.

The right is trying to control speech, too, and Trump isn't even trying to hide it. Look at his academic agenda. He wants schools to teach students to love their country, which sure sounds like indoctrination. It is also funny coming from someone who criticizes the country as it is so often. He wants prayer in schools, another form of indoctrination. He wants to remove lessons about racism and other bigotry in this country. The right is just nodding along and trying to use him to shove their religion and dogma down everyone's throats.

 

Guessing most MAGAs won't care if gas prices come down or not since they will be buying Emperor Elon's vehicles now.

Through all the firehose of craziness since the election, I keep coming back to the Vivek/Musk "Department of Governmental Efficiency" aka DOGE ... the name of the joke crypto currency Musk used to tweet about.

One month ago, DOGE was trading at .1208 cents. When the announcement about this project hit, the price jumped to .4359 cents.

Who named it so the acronym was DOGE? Was it somebody with a bunch of money invested in the crypto? Did they cash out after the price nearly quadrupled? In a sane world, there would be a serious SEC investigation into that but we don't live in one of those any longer.
