It'll take two Pubes to refuse to bend the knee in addition to Murkowski and Collins — either to confirm Gaetz et al. or to refuse a prolonged recess to allow recess appointments. Heard talk that Cassidy of LA could be one. Who's the other? Tillis? Maybe Thune refuses to put it on the floor?

No way the newly minted majority leader rebukes the lord and savior immediately.

Thune was elected by a secret vote of his peers, who rejected Stinky's lubed-up choice out of hand. His seat is safe until 2028 and probably beyond.

When MAGA decides to take you out, they don't do it by the ballot box.

He has to replace it with something because 1) not even he will just throw people out of their insurance onto the trash heap (lots of GOP voters have the ACA, too), and 2) his ego demands that he be able to claim he has something better, if only so it can have the legacy of being called "TrumpCare."

And while he doesn't have re-election to worry about, he does have midterms. And the prospect of GOP losing the House and Senate and Dems making his final two years miserable isn't pleasant.

The leopard will never eat my face

When Trump Steaks went to shit, did he run out to make sure his customers would get a tasty savory substitute? No, he'd have been deliriously happy to order them a steaming sautéed shit sandwich. And then tell them they'd never tasted anything like it in their lives.

You're assuming he cares about quality or the people impacted by that quality or policy. He doesn't care about achieving anything by legislation. He's not smart enough to understand any of that. He thinks -- and he might be right -- that he can make his opponents miserable by executive order. He also knows that most of the states that voted for him are as dumb as he is. He also knows that his voters will never blame him for anything he does. Even if he drives up prices, puts them out of work or cuts their Social Security benefits, they will watch Fox News and hear that libruhls are to blame. And they'll nod their uneducated, intellectually deficient heads and agree.

Stinky is an empty vessel. All he wants to do is play golf, play president and own his adversaries. He's turned all these other most-foul duties over to his minions so he can wash his hands of it when he needs to.

It's not Trump Care, it's a concept of a plan.
