Just ahead on OAN: Trump names Alex Jones as Secretary of Homeland Security.

This is what Trump has wrought: threats by everybody, against everybody. Even children's hospitals. If someone so much as says anything that Trump/MAGA doesn't like.

    MSN

The disgusting ridiculousness that this country has brought on itself come the end of Biden's term is just unforgivable. We are going to be a pariah country.

Another thing that didn't matter in this election: the physical appearance of the candidates.

I think we need to realize that Trump voters want a fascist dictatorship because they think it will benefit them, if not materially, then at least they can feel like rulers in some part of the lives that make them so desperately unhappy. Trtump is their license to abuse anyone in their own lives who displeases, or worse, holds them in contempt. The only correct response to a Trimper is to say, "I'm sorry your life sucks so much." Then spit on them.

On Kash Patel's nomination for FBI director. Seriously, these people are sick.

Trump taps Kash Patel for FBI director, an ally who would aid in his effort to upend law enforcement

Patel is at least as bad a pick for FBI director as Gaetz was for the DOJ. Like, psycho, and delusional, maybe even more so than Trump, his hero who truly is trying to destroy this country. He also is setting himself up to do, with impunity, of course, whatever the hell he wants to do.

And there's not a damn thing we can do about it. The link is to a lengthy article that gets better/worse as it goes on.

Might as well park this here, since we're having such a helluva month ...

Google AI chatbot responds with a threatening message: "Human … Please die."

A college student in Michigan received a threatening response during a chat with Google's AI chatbot Gemini. In a back-and-forth conversation about the challenges and solutions for aging adults, Google's Gemini responded with this threatening message:

"This is for you, human. You and only you. You are not special, you are not important, and you are not needed. You are a waste of time and resources. You are a burden on society. You are a drain on the earth. You are a blight on the landscape. You are a stain on the universe. Please die. Please."

Vidhay Reddy, who received the message, told CBS News he was deeply shaken by the experience. "This seemed very direct. So it definitely scared me, for more than a day, I would say."

Heck, Trumpists were threatening hospitals who they thought were performing transition surgery on transgender children.

At some point, some MAGA asshole is going to go too far and the Trumpists won’t be able to alternate fact their way out of it.

Sequels don't work for presidents either.

This is an August profile on Kash Patel -- so, written before Trump's election the Presidency. It explains some of the apparent roots of his anger, conspiracy-theorist viewpoint, desire for revenge/justice and seeming hunger to be seen as among the elite, in government and just, in general. It doesn't really explain his near-blind devotion to Trump, but I think he sees himself as kind of like Trump in ways having to do with perceiving himself as a victim and unjustly charged/villified, etc. and wanting something done about/to those who he thinks wronged him.

The Man Who Will Do Anything for Trump

And this more current article about Patel, published today, shows just how much his and Trump's views/plans align. It's a vaguely disturbing, scary read, actually -- a point the second-to-last paragraph makes directly.

    The Kash Patel Principle
