He’s probably already back, we just don’t know it.

One of the few useful things accomplished by this Congress.

Senate Passes Social Security Fairness Act, Securing Economic Justice for Postal, Federal, and Public-Sector Retirees | American Postal Workers Union

tl;dr: A lot of people are getting Social Security benefits restored.

The scoop: Since the 1980s, the Social Security you paid into was reduced by a significant amount if you had ANY public pension that didn’t pay into the fund.

That means you did not receive a lot of SS benefits on the work you did before you joined government or the work you did outside, if you had a second job. For someone who worked a split career between government, where they didn’t work long enough for a sizable pension, and the private sector, they were screwed.

The argument was these workers were receiving full pensions from the government agency they worked for and they didn’t need SS but again, that wasn’t always true.

My mom was screwed over by this for years and couldn’t pay her bills. This will restore much of her SS. It’s going to help a lot of lower-middle-class folks who worked low-skill public sector jobs that didn’t give them a huge pension.

Biden hasn’t signed it yet but has said he will.

    Fair enough.

But there was a lot of wishcasting here in the summer. Harris was going to win because Dobbs! She’s getting 350 EVs! This won’t be close!

Seems like we didn’t learn our lesson from the first two Trump races, which was to throw everything out the window — and that half this country is committed to the MAGA way of life, not just the one-third we’d talked about.

Anti-Trumpers easily could have sent Fucko down to defeat
for good, but not if they don't get off their lazy asses and vote.

Unfortunately, once again we'll find out that no action brings consequences, too.

Musk and Ramaswamy certainly have a different view of some immigrants. It'll be interesting to see how many are chased down by Homan.

    MSN

Oh, and Musk thinks Chick-fil-A should run the border. Yeah, these are the people who are going to be in charge of the country in a couple weeks:

Musk added that the fast-food chain Chick-fil-A should manage America's borders, because "they are so efficient" and "the chicken sandwiches are epic."

The borders would only be closed on Sunday.
