Efforts to absorb Canada into the US have never gone well.

 

Doing poorly is not the same as doing nothing. And the entire story of world politics this decade is you don’t want to be the poor sucker in charge at re-election time.

How does a country even begin to absorb another in a four year span without war or decades of debate? Seriously. I'm ignorant.

 

This is just more proof Trump's frontal lobes are running out his ears at an ever-increasing pace. Besides, he'd never make war on a country where most people are white. War is what Mexico is for.

 

It doesn't, at least not in modern times.

The only peaceful unifications of independent countries in the last 100 years - not territories or other entities - has been between previously united countries that were split. Yemen, Germany, Vietnam (following war), etc.

The UAE was formed peacefully of independent entities, but none of the participants had full country status. Similar efforts have occurred in Africa.

It just doesn't happen on this scale. Trump is a moron.

 

Whatever happens, at least I voted against this pile of garbage three times.
