Sen. Heidi Heitkamp from North Dakota, a Democrat up in 2018 in about as red a state as there is, just issued a very strong condemnation of the EO. If it's a genuine act of conscience, good for her. If it is also a professional pol calculating public opinion and her own future, good for the rest of us.

 

No. The number of folks who delete Uber will be large. Most of them will get it back in 48 to 72 hours. So the overall reduction will be trivial. Kind of like those who, back in the day, cancelled newspaper subscriptions in a pique of rage over a single story and restored the subscription before their team played its next game.
